Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

drinkYs is an iOS application developed by an independent developer. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at drinkys@casawes.com.

2. Data We Collect

drinkYs collects no personal data. We do not collect, process, or store:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Any health or biometric data

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only using iOS's on-device storage (UserDefaults / SharedPreferences). This data is never transmitted anywhere:

• Drink log entries (timestamp, drink type, alcohol content)
• Body profile settings (weight, biological sex, drinking experience)
• App preferences (drink types, daily limit, sobriety threshold)
• Premium purchase status

This data is stored in your app's private container on your device. It is not included in iCloud backups unless you have explicitly enabled iCloud backup for all apps on your device, in which case it is backed up as part of the standard iOS backup — it remains private to you.

4. Apple Health Integration (Optional)

drinkYs includes an optional Apple Health integration. It is off by default. If you choose to enable it:

• Each drink you log is written to your Apple HealthKit record as dietary alcohol (grams of pure ethanol).
• This data is stored by Apple's HealthKit framework on your device. drinkYs has no server access to it.
• drinkYs never reads any data from Apple Health — it is write-only.
• If you have iCloud sync enabled for the Health app, Apple may sync this data across your devices via your iCloud account. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

You can disable the integration at any time in Preferences, and revoke HealthKit permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → drinkYs. Disabling the feature stops future writes; it does not delete data already in Apple Health. You can delete those entries directly in the Apple Health app.

5. In-App Purchases

drinkYs offers an optional Premium upgrade via Apple's In-App Purchase system. Any purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to all transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Third-Party Services

drinkYs does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with any third party.

7. Children's Privacy

drinkYs is intended for adults of legal drinking age. The app is rated 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including minors.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are in complete control of it at all times. You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Deleting individual entries within the app (History screen)
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data

We have no copy of your data and cannot delete it on your behalf — nor do we need to, since we never had it.

9. Data Security

Your data is stored in the app's sandboxed private container on your device, protected by iOS's built-in security. Access is restricted to the drinkYs app only.

10. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we collect none of it, you can exercise all these rights directly through the app or by uninstalling it.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
